D'Argo is a member of the Luxan. A race of fierce warriors known throughout the galaxy for their ongoing conquest of planets and people. His first reaction to almost every situation is to fight. D'Argo was married to a Sebacean female. She was murdered several years ago and D'Argo was accused of her murder. D'Argo was taken into custody by the Peacekeepers and put in prison even though Captain Crais was aware of his innocence. D'Argo always has believed that his innocence was dismissed because the Peacekeeper feel that a Sebacean/Luxan pairing was an abomination. D'Argo's son has since disappeared and it is D'Argo's quest to be reunited with him. |

It has been a hard adjustment for D'Argo to make, being on board a ship
with such a variety of personalities and beliefs. At times it seems to him
that things would be easier if it were just him. It has taken a lot
of effort on his part to connect with the other members but his trust of
them has never wavered. He has grown to respect Aeryn as a fellow warrior and
Crichton as a fighter and almost a friend. He also has much respect for
Zhaan and has developed some protective feelings toward Chiana. Rygel is
nothing more to him than an annoyance and it seems as if that is all he
will ever be.
Like Zhaan, D'Argo has many demons in his past that he has to deal with everyday. Before the death of his wife he had to assume the rank and guise of a Luxan general in order to save his comrades in battle. Although it was a dishonorable act, according to the Luxan code, this was an act that saved his compatriots. In his heart he feels as though he has betrayed his people an does not deserve to reclaim his place with them. It is an inner battle which he must fight always until he is able to forgive himself. |
